I was really drawn to this journal page by Mandy. I love the colours, all the interesting details, well, everything, really! Congratulations Mandy!

Art of the Month – Tis the Season

January 2, 2011

Thank you to everyone who took the time to play along this month, when we are all so busy.  There was lots of lovely eye candy around the blogs as usual.  I really fell in love with this piece by Gillian, so have chosen it to feature as art of the month this month! Congratulations, Gillian!

Art of the Month – Boxing Clever

December 5, 2010

What a lot of amazing art for this theme.  Thanks to Carol for being a guest host and giving us all such a wonderful challenge. I was very disappointed that I couldn’t complete my piece in time. As usual there were plenty of contenders for art of the month, but in the end Zuzu’s amazing box won the day! Congratulations, Zuzu!

Art of the Month – Shrines

October 31, 2010

Thanks to everyone who participated in the new monthly challenge.  Hopefully everyone will get used to the new format and continue to enjoy the challenges.  Visiting all the blogs was such a pleasure this month and there were some amazing shrines.  I chose this wonderful shrine by Hermine because I love the softness and air of mystery about it.  I also love the clever way she created the niche! Congratulations, Hermine!

Art of the Week – Art

October 3, 2010

Everyone took the “art” challenge very seriously – what an amazing amount of eye candy around the blogs.  It gets harder and harder to single out one piece of art each week – and I’m sure it won’t be any easier when we go monthly.  I absolutely fell in love with this painting by Cheryl, so have chosen it as our last Art of the Week. Congratulations, Cheryl!

Art of the Week – Buttons

September 26, 2010

There were some wonderful submissions this week for what I apologise for being a fairly uninspired challenge.  That didn’t phase you lot though!  This piece by Bev is particularly inspiring – not only her clever adaption of the theme (with her escape button) but for the wonderful execution, to make this a very intriguing piece of art!  Congratulations Bev!
