This week we are lucky to have the fabulous Femmy as our guest host.   Femmy has chosen “transparency” as her theme, and created the gorgeous card above.  So the challenge is a straight forward one, but lots of fun.  Simply use a transparency, acetate, vellum or similar somewhere on your creation.  This should be a fun one - thanks so much, Femmy!

Paint

This week we are lucky to have the very talented Natalie as our guest host again. Natalie has chosen “paint” as the theme. This is what Nat said: “I love to work with paint and get really messy with it. You can use this medium on card, glass, wood, canvas, etc etc the list goes on and that’swhat I love so much about it!! This week though, I’ve chosen to do a piece on an 8″x10″ canvas board. Ok so here’s this weeks challenge, pick your favourite colour paints and make something to share with all of us.”

Enjoy the challenge, everyone - and remember it’s open to your own interpretation - just use some sort of paint on your piece!

We have been published in the wonderful Somerset Studio publication “Artful Blogging”.  It is a wonderful four page spread, with some of our participants’ artwork being featured.  Congratulations to everyone who’s wonderful work appears in this issue, and congrats also to Somerset Studio for another wonderful publication.  Unfortunately I think some of the artistic credits have been messed up, so if you have any corrections you would like me to publish here, please let me know.  You can see Heather R’s wonderful piece on page 117, where it slipped into the One World, One Heart article.

This week we have the fabulous Fatma as our guest host again, and she has chosen playing cards as her theme.  So you can create your piece by altering a playing card, or use one in your artwork somewhere. As always, the interpretation is up to you!

Girls and Dolls is the theme chosen by our special guest hostess, Glenda, this week.  Something different to challenge us all this week.  This is what Glenda said about her piece: ” This is a collage on gallery wrapped canvas that I did, using lots of different papers, a vintage photo reprint, a little metal heart, ribbon and a red button.”  You can visit Glenda’s blog - her URL is in the sidebar, or you could visit her Etsy shop.  Thanks for the fun challenge, Glenda.
